Meridian School (ICSE) is situated in Varap Village, near Kalyan, mainly having students from Ulhasnagar and some from Dombivali, Kalyan, Titwala and surrounding areas has Hiked Fees around 100% for year 2010-2011.
As in my case my child joined this school from 1st standard that time charges were 27000 per annum, it incremented by 3000 every year, this year my child in 4th std charges 36000. Charges till date are inclusive of Uniform, Books, Transport, Lunch and Terms Fees, it means everything inclusive.
Now this same Meridian School has sent circular mentioning "Fee hike due to few changes which will be good for students in the next academic year", fee structure will be Rs 32200 and transport charges extra, uniform charges extra, Books extra, Lunch charges extra at RS 44 per working day, which means everything Extra and term fees almost double. Gross amount will be upto 55000 to 60000.
Calculate difference in Five years form the date of admission in first standard 27000 to 55000 till 5th standard, at that time they attracted parents with sports activities and many more promises, whats this is now looking a Kind Of Spider Web.
As an average earning person and having TWO children in the same school I am feeling Frustrated and Helpless. These hikes are crushing our Family Dreams as expenditure is planned to income.
Who gave these schools right to play with public sentiments
I am not a single person there are many parents like me and everyone hesitating to come forward and Protest.
Please do the needful and HELP us out of this Mess.
